Suicide is a silent and deadly threat to society, with over 700,000 people dying due to it every year all over the world. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), Bangladesh has one of the highest suicide rates in the world. The Foundation aims to reduce suicidal incidents by creating awareness, reducing stigma, and improving access to mental health services, etc. The foundation’s following interventions gradually diminish this problem.
Suicide Prevention Helpline: The foundation has launched a suicide helpline to enhance access to mental health services to save the lives of people who are considering or at risk of suicide. Trained call center agents offer support, counseling, and resources to ensure the safety of individuals and refer them for additional assistance as needed
The overall mission is to give compassionate immediate support to those in often profoundly challenging moments, keep them safe in crises, and guide them to pathways for wellness. Listening to those suffering can save lives.
Raise Awareness and Reduce Stigma: The foundation organizes workshops, seminars, or events to reduce stigma and increase knowledge about mental health and suicide prevention among the public.
