Rationale: Bangladesh faces significant challenges in addressing mental health issues due to stigma, lack of knowledge, and outdated service models. With approximately 64% of the population among 165 million people live in villages and only 6.73 people per 10,000 can avail the quality healthcare. (Source: DGHS & WHO). There is also shortage of public mental health facilities and qualified practitioners, insufficient financial resources and poorly managed mental health policies creates the overall problem.
Objective: LS Well-being Foundation provides comprehensive, integrated, and responsive mental health care services in community-based settings to the marginalized community and builds awareness to reduce their stigma. Our goal is to make healthcare more accessible and ensure that individuals receive the quality care they deserve.
Activities: We believe that involving community members directly in our platform and educating the challenges they face can improve their well-being and help them lead healthier lives. A well-established digital platform is set up in the center and a doctor with a psychologist assesses the ailments people face and provides necessary treatment along with free health checkups. There has a healthcare referral system in place for more serious illnesses.
With enthusiastic employees and volunteers, we are ready to support you no matter any time..
